An incredible year has gone by again. Our hard work has helped make a difference and bring light into the lives of so many. The Slum Soccer field has opened so many opportunities it makes our job so much more meaningful.
For me personally the biggest reward I wasn't expecting was the amount of women and girls who come out to play on the field and in the tournaments. The field has brought so many people of the community together and given a real space for kids to play. Although the field is not perfect (kaka and I built it with our bare hands) the sense of ownership from the youth is beyond my expectations.
