UWH was invited to Moscrop High School last week to engage the senior students in the social justice program. There was minimal time talking about UWH history and projects because the students were very receptive so the class became a group discussion which is always more interesting than one person talking. It was obvious that the students had a keen sense of community and social responsibility so through discussion we talked about what are the elements that create a "community" as well as what it means to "give back". The students had a lot to contribute and it's always good to get the perspective of the younger generation.
Thanks a lot Moscrop! Also thanks to Daniel Tetrault for organizing this for a second year in a row and for keeping our youth informed and opinionated!
