S L U M S O C C E R

Slum Soccer - It’s a very catchy name. Since this project started in January, the transformation has been very exciting and organic. Next monday we are planning for 5 truck loads of soil to put down to flatten the ground and create a smooth organic surface. We are also planning to do a large mural to add some color to the space. 

The importance of this space is so critical in a community where there is literally nowhere for young kids to run around. Mathare Environmental Conservation Youth Group is doing an amazing job at keeping the youth engaged and helping to bring this dream into a reality. They have proved in the past that they are environmental leaders by transforming parts of their community into vibrant green spaces
